We're incredibly grateful to the United Way of Greater New Bedford for investing in the well-being of our students by providing a grant for our counseling program.

This funding helps ensure every OSS student has access to the social and emotional support they need to thrive both in and beyond the classroom.

We are honored to be one of just 25 local nonprofit organizations selected to receive a Community Impact Grant this year as United Way of Greater New Bedford invested $400,000 in programs advancing healthy communities, youth opportunity, and financial security across our region.

We're looking for a STEAM Teacher & SPARK Coordinator to inspire students through hands-on STEAM experiences while leading our SPARK after-school program for 3rd and 4th grade girls.

This unique, year-round role is perfect for an educator who loves project-based learning, enjoys working with technology like robotics, coding, VR, and digital media, and is passionate about helping young learners discover what's possible.

Calling all science educators!

Are you supporting the adoption or implementation of OpenSciEd in your school or district?

Join us July 7–8 at Our Sisters' School in New Bedford for a two-day professional learning experience focused on OpenSciEd's high-quality, standards-aligned, phenomena-based approach to science instruction.

Led by Sarah Vendetti, longtime science educator and former OpenSciEd implementation leader for Plymouth Public Schools.

This week OSS was honored to be recognized among an inspiring group of nonprofits strengthening our communities.

We are deeply grateful for the Foundation’s continued generosity and partnership. Their investment in our technology resources helps ensure that every OSS student has the tools she needs to learn, grow, and succeed.

OSS Class of 2026!

Last week, 15 8th graders completed their journey at Our Sisters' School.

As a symbol of growth during their time at OSS, each graduate received a beautiful compass rose necklace - a reminder to be guided by their values, purpose, and dreams as they follow their true north.

We are excited to watch them embark on their next adventures and have no doubt that each of them will continue to learn, lead, make a positive impact on the world - and stay in touch!

We're still thinking about last week's Festival of Art and Student Achievement, our annual showcase of OSS student work across all disciplines.

We are grateful to our community for turning out to champion our students. We also want to extend a heartfelt thank you to MA Attorney General Andrea Campbell for speaking and sharing her powerful, inspirational message of resilience, education, and change making.
