It’s about the power of art to communicate and the importance of student voice. Leo’s success reminds us that art is a universal language, one that transcends borders and brings people together.
This achievement is also a reminder of why arts education matters. Art classrooms are more than places to learn techniques; they are spaces where students discover their voice, build confidence, and learn that their perspectives have value.

We are incredibly proud to highlight 12-year-old Leo Silveria, a sixth grader at Nativity Preparatory School, whose artwork was recently selected to be displayed on the Brazilian national team’s bus during this summer’s World Cup.
Leo's submission was selected out thousands of students in an international art contest with a drawing that focuses on unity and passion.
As a reward for his incredible talent, Leo and his father are being flown to New Jersey to watch Brazil take on Morocco in person this summer. It is an amazing moment for Leo and a testament to the vibrant young talent growing right here in our city.
