Anchor Bay Bands

The Official Facebook Home of the Anchor Bay Bands! This group is intended for current students and parents of the Anchor Bay Instrumental Music Program.

If you are a part of any of the Anchor Bay Bands, feel free to join! The Anchor Bay Instrumental Music Program includes, 5th Grade Bands, 6th Grade Bands, 7th and 8th Grade Bands, 9th Grade Symphonic Band, Cadet Band, Concert Band, Symphonic Band, Wind Ensemble, Jazz Ensemble, and Marching Band. The bands are under the direction of Alexander Floury, Daniel Fenton, and Scott Hawkins. The award-winn

ing program boasts one of the largest marching bands in the area and concert bands that receive consistent high ratings at their respective MSBOA festivals. The Wind Ensemble and Jazz Ensemble have both performed at the prestigious Michigan Music Conference, while the Marching Band is considered "The Pride of Anchor Bay High School" and has receives First Division ratings constantly. The Jazz Ensemble has received numerous awards at the CMU Jazz Festival, including "Best Overall Band" in 2004, 2009, 2010, 2016, & 2020

In 2006, the Anchor Bay School District was listed in the nation's "Best 100 Communities for Music Education."
