Today the New Baden Fire Department joined us at school for Fire Prevention Day! Several firefighters from the department came to NBE in their trucks to teach the students about fire prevention & safety. The students had the opportunity to ask questions, see the firemen in their gear and even tour the fire trucks! It was a great morning for our students!

A big thank you to the New Baden Fire Department, especially the firemen who shared their knowledge and time with our students - Chris Tripp, Kenny VanDeHey, Camren Ferri, Kameron Monical and Kyle Randolph.

Attention NBE families! This year’s Veterans Day Assembly theme is Bridging Generations: Honoring Our Past, Protecting Our Future. Our students will attend the Veteran's Day program at Wesclin Middle School on November 6th.

They are holding an art contest to select the cover for the assembly programs. Think about how our veterans protect our nation, pass down their traditions, and connect with younger generations. Submissions are due to your school office by Wednesday, October 28. Show off your creativity and honor our heroes! 🇺🇸❤️💙

Have your student fill out the form with their pick for difference maker: a staff member who has made a positive impact on them. All staff member’s names can be found on the pack of the flyer!

We’re also including a link for families to nominate someone! If you feel like one of our staff at New Baden Elementary have gone above and beyond to make an impact on you or your child, please take a few minutes to submit your vote!

All flyers and forms are due back Tuesday, October 13th!

Our first Dollar Day for Leaps of Love was a success! We were able to raise $232 dollars for families dealing with childhood cancer! Leaps of Love strives to engage with families who are struggling or recovering from childhood cancer treatments by offering hope, strength, and encouragement through retreats, events, and outings.

Our Dollar Days give our students a tangible way to give back and care for others in our communities, neighborhoods and schools. A big thank you to Mrs. Boulanger for organizing all of our dollar days and a big thank you to everyone who donated - you and your students are making a difference in the lives of others - one dollar at a time!

Reminder: Tomorrow is our first Dollar Day of the year! Your students can bring a dollar to donate to Leaps of Love, an organization helping families who have gone through pediatric cancer treatments. Dress like a cowboy or cowgirl and join us as we work together to make a difference!
