This is the online presence of the Graphic Design concentration within the Fine Arts Dept of the School of Arts and Letters, Indiana University Southeast in New Albany, Indiana. VISION
The graphic design program emphasizes the role of our students as design strategist focused on results. By leveraging on design's influence to generate innovative solutions that can effect change, it is the vision of the graphic design program to prepare our students to create solutions that experientially touch social, commercial, cultural, and political communities. MISSION
Our graphic design majors integrate the field's visual-driven culture using constantly evolving digital and manual techniques within an equally ever-changing trend in social, commercial, cultural, and political landscapes. We strive to raise the level of design discourse beyond tools and technologies into meaning and social impact in coping with the changing landscapes of human trends. It is our approach through collaborations, faculty research and creative participatory activities in classroom projects that our students develop the courage to be open to explore ideas as thinkers who propose solutions that are developed from critical thinking, enhanced by their analytical and pragmatic frameworks. Upon graduation, our students are prepared to enter their respective fields as solution providers and creative strategists as well as graphic artists.
