Student Spotlight ✨

This is Myla on piano and Ava on vocals performing Jolene by Dolly Parton!

Myla has been taking piano with me for about 5 years now, which is honestly crazy to think about. She used to just do sheet music, but has more recently had a lot of fun playing with lead sheets. We've been really focusing on learning chords, and I can already tell it's making a difference in her ability to read sheet music! Also, this style of playing has allowed her more opportunities to play with other musicians. Great job, Myla!

Ava is a newer studio addition! She just started taking vocal lessons this year and she's ready to show off her talents! We are currently really focusing on rhythm and stage performance. This was her first time singing on a stage like this and she killed it! ❤️🤘🏻🎸

This is Gavin, playing the entertainer. He's been playing piano for about 6 months and already playing some pretty cool stuff. Granted, he's been drumming with his middle school band for a while. You can tell he's had a lot of practice with rhythm!

This is one of my students, Garrett! He played in front of his church recently and his mom was kind enough to send me this video. Garrett is a part of my piano group classes, and it just goes to show that you can accomplish amazing things on piano even WITHOUT private lessons!

Garrett and his two sisters do an amazing job in group piano every week and the talent in this family honestly blows me away.

Student Spotlight ✨

This is Woodlyn, playing Song of Storms from Zelda!

This is the first "big" song that Woodlyn learned to play in lessons! She had this song down pretty well only a couple months after she started. Not too shabby for a beginner pianist! My students never cease to amaze me with what they can accomplish!!! I'm so proud. 🥹

In private lessons, I work with students to learn fundamentals using a piano method book, but then we take some time to learn songs they choose.
