A great article about Geoscience alumnus Patrick Haulter!
Indiana University Southeast 2013 alumnus Patrick Haulter is demonstrating how students can move seamlessly from academic study into a meaningful career aligned with their passions. Haulter now serves as Property Manager at Mounds State Park in Anderson, Indiana, where he oversees nearly every aspect of park operations and helps shape visitor experiences in one of Indiana’s most visited natural spaces.

Tonight we celebrated our graduates at the School of Natural Sciences Commencement Celebration! Pictured are three of our graduates (Lily, Chelsea, and Owen) along with Teaching Professor Clint Franklin and Senior Lecturer Jennie Lathem. Senior Geoscience majors Owen Harmon and Kenneth Yount presented their research titled ‘An Analysis of Streamflow in Relation to Climate in the Muscatatuck River Basin, Southern Indiana’ last Friday at the 22nd Annual IU Southeast Student Conference and Showcase. Their Faculty Mentor was Dr. Todd Grote.
Over 300 students presented research and creative work at this year’s Student Conference and Showcase.

**Internship Opportunity**
The Indiana Geological and Water Survey (IGWS) is now accepting applications for the Paul Potter Internship Program. Last summer, IU Southeast student and now graduate, Grant Qualkenbush, completed this internship and had a great experience. This opportunity is open to current IU undergraduate and master’s students interested in geoscience. Interns will work in either luminescence geochronology lab work or hydrologic data analysis, gaining hands-on experience in field, lab, and GIS-based research.

Priority Registration Week is right around the corner. Step #1 is scheduling an appointment with your advisor – and that’s what you’ll be able to do during Advising Prep Week.
Drop in between 11:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. on Feb. 23 or 24 and schedule your appointment with your advisor. Meeting with your advisor is crucial for preparing for registration.
During your advisor appointment, you’ll receive guidance on planning your path in Stellic and determine what classes you need to take. After your appointment, you’ll be all ready for Priority Registration Week.
