Dear KCA Families,

With heavy hearts we regret to inform you that Kids Care Academy is closing for business, effective, October 3rd, 2025. Kids Care Academy has been a dedicated childcare and Prek provider since 2011. We have committed to providing quality care for all children within our program. Unfortunately, with current financial state and continued funding cuts from the state of Indiana, we are unable to continue operations. This decision has been weighing heavily on our hearts, and we have scrambled to find alternative solutions, without avail. Our state has cut funding for current childcare vouchers and continues to make cuts to providers that creates operating burdens that KCA cannot overcome.

Families will be provided with an account statement within the upcoming week. We ask that all balances are caught up in full by Monday, September 29th. Families who have enrolled in our autopay program can expect the last payment to occur on September 22nd, if your account balance has remained up to date. Families who have outstanding balances remaining on September 29th will be refused service for that final week. Please speak with a management member if you have questions regarding your account.

Families currently utilizing the RVR vouchers will need to contact River Valley Resources. They have been given notice of our closure and will assist in transferring your voucher to a new provider. Please direct all questions to them related to your current voucher and steps to ensure voucher is not lost.

We recognize that many families will be displaced by this announcement. We recommend utilizing Childcare Finder (https://www.in.gov/fssa/childcarefinder/) or Brighter Futures Indiana (https://brighterfuturesindiana.org/local-help-for-finding-child-care) to locate new provider information. We hope to help families with this transition to the best of our ability so please do not hesitate to seek assistance from management if needed.
It has been our greatest joy to come alongside each of you and be a support in raising your child(ren). It has been such a blessing to see each of them grow and learn over the past 14 years. We wish each of you all the best!
