Scribner Middle School

Scribner Middle School On September 7, 1960, Nathaniel Scribner Junior High School opened its doors to approximately 1200 students in grades 7, 8, and 9.

The building was dedicated on October 23, 1960. In selecting a name for the school, the School Board chose to honor Nathaniel Scribner, one of the founders of New Albany and the person responsible for starting New Albany’s public schools. During the fall of 2002, ninth grade students began attending school at New Albany High School and our building officially became Nathaniel Scribner Middle School. In 2004, Scribner began serving sixth, seventh and eighth grades for the first time ever after a two-year renovation project was completed. Finally, in 2010, Nathaniel Scribner Middle School opened its doors to fifth grade students. Currently, we service grades five, six, seven and eight.

Calling all K–8th grade dancers! 🐾💃 Join us for our Bulldolls Dance Clinic!

📅 Saturday, Sept. 12 | 9 AM–12 PM
📍 NAHS Auxiliary Gym — Enter Door 7
💰 $45 per camper — includes a Bulldolls T-shirt!

🏈 Then perform with the Bulldolls at the NAHS Football Game on Friday, Sept. 18!
⏰ Arrive at 6 PM | Game at 7 PM | Halftime Performance!

Parents will pick up campers from the Auxiliary Gym after the performance.
