🍴 New on the Menu + An Old Favorite!

We’re bringing a little California-inspired flavor to the cafeteria with our new California-Style “Sushi Roll” Bowl! 🍣🥢

Think all the flavors students love in a sushi roll—crab stick, cucumber, shredded carrots, edamame, sushi style brown rice, and yum yum sauce—served up in a colorful, bowl-style meal.

And then there’s an old favorite that never disappoints… ❤️

Pulled Pork over Homemade Mac & Cheese, served with Southern-style green beans and freshly baked garlic knots. 🐷🧀🥖

Two very different meals, but both made with the same goal: school food that is fresh, flavorful, fun, and anything but boring.

Because when we put care into what we serve, students notice! 👏

One of our focuses this year in Food & Nutrition Services is bringing baking back into our school kitchens—and our teams are doing an incredible job!

From sub rolls, muffins, and garlic knots to the care and attention that goes into every batch, our staff are bringing back some of the best parts of scratch cooking: fresh ingredients, real food, and the pride that comes from making something from the ground up.

We are so proud of the creativity, dedication, and hard work our teams are putting into this initiative. It takes time, skill, and a whole lot of heart to bring baking back into a school foodservice operation—and our staff are rising to the occasion! 🧁🍞🧄

More baking, more scratch cooking, and more delicious things happening in our kitchens this year!

We served 105 free lunches to children and teens today through the Summer Meals Program! 🎉🥪🍎

All youth ages 0–18 can enjoy a FREE lunch at the New Albany Central Library every weekday from 12–12:45 PM, June 1 through July 31. No registration is required. Just drop by!
