This October, our little learners here at The Learning Experience - New Albany are diving into My Emotions and Feelings, a curriculum theme designed to help children better understand what they’re feeling, express themselves, and build the social-emotional skills they’ll use every day. 🌈💬

With Miss Chievous by their side, children will explore the many emotions they experience and discover simple ways to navigate big feelings. ✨

Learning how to understand our feelings is an important part of learning how to care for ourselves, connect with others, and grow with confidence. 💕 We can't wait to see what this month of exploration and discovery brings! 🌱

Preschool: Learning, Growing & Building Confidence! ✨

Our Preschool friends have been busy learning through every part of their day! From practicing letter formation and phonics to strengthening early literacy skills through story time, our little learners are building the foundation they’ll need for kindergarten and beyond.

Through our L.E.A.P.® Curriculum, learning becomes interactive and exciting! Our Preschool students get opportunities to explore concepts on the L.E.A.P. Interactive Board, practice early reading and writing skills, ask questions, and proudly show what they know.

Preschool is also about so much more than academics! We’re also learning how to build friendships, express our emotions, work together, and show kindness to one another. Every lesson, story, hug, and smile is helping our little learners grow into confident, curious, and caring big kids.

This October, our little learners at The Learning Experience - New Albany are focusing on Table Manners and discovering how small acts of courtesy can make mealtime happier for everyone. 😊✨

Our little learners have been busy exploring all things fall! From taking a nature walk and discovering plants, to washing and exploring apples, our children are learning through hands-on experiences.

We’ve also been enjoying fall sensory play with colorful leaves, giving our little ones opportunities to scoop, sort, touch, and explore different textures while building their fine-motor skills and curiosity.

🔤 Where Literacy Meets a Little Bit of Magic!

Our Preschool friends brought sensory play and early literacy together with a magnetic letter search and find! Using magnetic tools, our little learners searched through the sensory bin to discover hidden letters and pictures.

As they uncovered each one, they practiced letter recognition, sounds, fine motor skills, and problem-solving—all while discovering the “magic” of magnets!

Hands-on learning makes practicing those important early literacy skills even more exciting!

👻 Boo Bash Parents’ Day Out! 🎃

This past Saturday, we had an absolute BLAST at our Boo Bash Parents’ Day Out! Our little learners came dressed in their festive outfits and spent the day enjoying spooky sensory play, crafts, games, activities, time with friends, and plenty of fall fun!

While the kiddos were busy having all the fun with us, our parents got a little treat of their own — a few kid-free hours to relax, run errands, enjoy a quiet meal, or simply take some much-deserved time for themselves! 🥰

From big smiles and creative crafts to sensory exploration and lots of laughter, we loved getting to spend some extra weekend time with our TLE friends!
A HUGE thank you to all of our families who joined us for our Boo Bash Parents’ Day Out and trusted us with their little learners. Judging by these smiles, we’d say it was a SPOOK-tacular success!

Our little learners traded in traditional paint brushes for apples and created their own colorful masterpieces! Using apples as stamps, they explored different colors, textures, shapes, and patterns while putting their creativity to work.
