We would love to have some of our IUSWP TCs at the ITW conference this Saturday. Troy Hicks is the keynote speaker and several breakout sessions throughout the day. There is still time to register and you can pay the morning of the conference if you need the extra time. Lunch is included in the registration fee and groups of 3 or more receive a discount.

Happy summer TCs! Indiana Teachers of Writing is hosting a conference this year and they need presenters. Attached is the flyer. Please consider lending your voice and expertise to help make this conference a success.
Calling on our TCs, do you know a new teacher who could benefit from our Summer Institute? Know a teacher who needs some graduate credit hours? Summer Institue will run June 12th-23rd from 9-4 daily. Please send their name and email address to Dr. Maher at [email protected].

SI '22 wrapped up today with I- Search presentations, a little bucket filling, certificates of completion, celebratory lunch, and author's chair share. Oh, and Carrie Quillo's "birthday celebration" for arriving late to lunch (see the first comment for that video)!

Day 9 of SI had us wrapping up our demo lessons with presentations about exploding the moment from fellow Katie Smith and descriptive writing from fellow Eric Watson. Our read aloud today was from Katie as well. Looking forward to our I Search Presentations and celebration tomorrow to wrap up our Summer Institute.

Day 8 of SI, what a treat to have Suzanne Jackson from the Louisville Writing Project with us to demo helping students make claims. Suzanne shared a wealth of knowledge with us today. We also had a read aloud from fellow Hayden Seelye. Only two days remain but lots of learning still to happen.
