As we kick off the month of June, the Alpha Gamma Sigma Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated® is soaring with purpose. We’re inviting all of our Sisters and community supporters to Wear Pink, Spend Green, and Buy Black!

Every Friday is a Pink Friday, and we challenge you to intentionally direct your spending toward Black-owned businesses. Whether it’s your morning coffee, a local boutique, or a specialized service, every dollar counts toward our collective international goal.

Alpha Gamma Sigma Omega started the month of May celebrating the 152nd Kentucky Derby in style while supporting two amazing events.

We kicked off our morning at the 45th Derby Brunch Experience, held by the Hortense B. Perry Foundation and the Eta Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated®. It was a beautiful morning celebrating scholars, enjoying the fashion show, and pouring back into our community.

We kept the celebratory energy going back across the bridge at Upland Brewing Co., enjoying the indoor/outdoor vibes, great music, and amazing company right on the river. 🎶☀️

Thank you to everyone who hosted, partnered, and celebrated with us. Derby 2026 was one for the books! 🏇💚💖

This Memorial Day, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated® pauses to honor the legacy of our nation’s heroes.
