"Dickinson Promise" is a new initiative, launched with the Class of 2030, guaranteeing a tuition-free education for domestic students from families earning $125,000 or less annually, with loan-free aid (replacing loans with grants) for those with family incomes of $75,000 or less and typical assets, aiming to eliminate student debt for more students over time. This major financial aid shift provides significant grants instead of loans, making a Dickinson education more accessible by removing loan burdens for many families. Dickinson College is a nationally recognized liberal-arts college located in Carlisle, PA.

Ohio Wesleyan University is launching its brand-new Conrades School of Engineering, welcoming its first mechanical-engineering majors in Fall 2027.

Beginning in fall 2027, Ohio Wesleyan will offer an accredited* mechanical engineering major with graduates earning a BSME (Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering) degree.

Admissions News: The University of Michigan is adding a binding Early Decision application option for first-year students applying for fall 2026. The Early Decision application deadline will be Nov. 1, with students learning of their decision by the end of December.

TESTING NEWS: Ohio State is returning to requiring test scores (either the SAT or the ACT) for admission to the University. This return to requiring test scores will apply to current juniors who plan to apply to Ohio State for entry in the fall of 2026. OSU will also now allow superscoring, which means they will consider a student’s highest section scores from multiple test attempts.
