Football Friday at AcademyOne! 🏈❤️

We kicked off football season with a little team spirit and a football themed lunch for our incredible teachers. Hot dogs, pretzels, chips, dips, cookies, and plenty of Buckeye pride made for a pretty fun Friday around here.

September is all about building our classroom community! 🍎

Throughout the month, our children will be learning what it means to be part of a classroom family, from creating classroom promises and practicing kindness, to learning about friendships, routines, healthy habits, teamwork, and taking care of the spaces we share.

We have lots of fun learning planned along the way, including art, music, movement, storytelling, and hands on activities that help children feel comfortable, confident, and connected at school.

Our students worked together to create their Classroom Promise, a few simple reminders they can carry with them all year long: be kind, do your best, walk inside, share, help others, and take care of our classroom. 💛

Our little students have been learning about something we all experience every day: emotions. 💛

They looked at photos of children showing different feelings, talked about what those emotions might mean, and learned that it is okay to feel happy, shy, angry, excited, or anything in between. We also talked about simple ways to work through big feelings, and then the children had some fun acting out the emotions they recognized.

A great way to build classroom community while helping children understand themselves and each other a little better.

Meet the Teacher Night was such a great way to kick off the new school year! A big thank you to our incredible teachers: Ms. Marley & Ms. Kiara in Early Preschool, Ms. Isabella & Ms. Abby in Preschool, Ms. Dominique & Ms. Kata in Pre-K, and Ms. Tiffany & Ms. Chandra in KG-Prep.
