Prosser Career Education Center cuts ribbon on new manufacturing lab NEW ALBANY — Prosser Career Education Center is expanding manufacturing training through the opening of a new lab.

I’d like to give a huge thank you to everyone that worked on our new lab space. My students are really enjoying learning and working on projects with our new lab!

This is such a fun learning experience for our students. A huge thank you to Purdue Polytechnic for hosting this event every year!

Purdue Polytechnic presents annual Pumpkin Chunkin' competition NEW ALBANY — After weeks of preparation, the teams were ready for launch. One by one, they loaded pumpkins into trebuchets, catapulting them into the air.

This is a really fun event! Please come out and cheer on our Prosser team!

Pumpkin Chunking is BACK for 2025 at Purdue Polytechnic New Albany! The event will be held on Tuesday, October 14th from 4 to 7 p.m. You can find more information here: https://polytechnic.purdue.edu/events/new-albany-pumpkin-chunking

You’ll witness high school and adult teams launch pumpkins 75 to 100 yards away. Teams build a trebuchet (think very large catapult) using gravity (falling weights) as their only source of power to successfully launch their pumpkin at the designated target.
