🎃🍂 Pumpkin Patch fun! 🍂🎃

Our Pre-K and Preschool rooms each had their own day of fall fun at Wise Family Farms! We played, explored the corn maze, picked flowers, fed animals, and picked our pumpkins!

A BIG shoutout to our honorary staff members aka our amazing parent volunteers! 🫶🏽 Thank you for helping make each trip extra special!

Friday, our Pre-K students reached the LAST STOP of our transportation unit!

We traveled from the past to the future with the Flintstones & the Jetsons! 🪨🚀

🎨 Painted wooden cars
🚗 Made Rice Krispie/Fruity Pebble treat cars with M&Ms & Oreos
🎲 Rolled & counted our way through a fun game
🏁 Raced our very own Flintstones car & Jetsons spaceship!

Looking back on when our Yellow & Orange Rooms visited Ranadau Dillard at the Mississippi State University Extension Service for a transportation-themed craft and plenty of exploring! 🚦

Ms. Shelia and Mrs. Mary’s Yellow Room students enjoyed creating, experimenting, and learning through hands-on play!
From transportation crafts and fine-motor activities to balloon rockets and hands-on experiments, our preschoolers had fun all month long discovering how things move! 🚗

Our Pre-K class has been busy learning!

We practiced keeping a steady beat using mallets and a xylophone with Ms. Alaina from Union County Heritage Museum

Designed and constructed paper planes and explored how air helps keep airplanes in the sky.

Used toy cars as paintbrushes to explore movement, direction, and tire tracks!

We learned, created, and had SO much fun! 🚗🎨

Happy Grandparents Day!

What a special morning! Our center was filled with smiles, hugs, and sweet memories as grandparents joined us for breakfast! 🥞💕

A BIG thank-you to Jessica Lewis Andrews for the beautiful centerpiece flowers that made our tables extra special!

🚗💨 Newton’s Laws in action! 🚗💨

Our Pre-K class put all THREE laws to the test! 🔬

1.) Law of Inertia: Cars at rest stayed at rest until we pushed them!
2.) Law of Force & Acceleration: We added blocks to make a car heavier and discovered it took more force to move it!
3.) Law of Action & Reaction: We crashed cars together and observed equal and opposite reactions!

We learned that science isn’t just something we talk about. It’s something we can test, observe, and discover!

Our Blue Room had fun scrubbing, rinsing, and drying while building fine motor skills, coordination, and following directions along the way!

Learning + play = the best kind of day! 🚗

Our Pre-K class had another special visit from Union County Heritage Museum. We explored different instruments, took a musical walk while keeping a steady beat, and even used balls to create music and follow the rhythm! 🥁⚽️
