🩷 **Shop local. Wear local. Love local.**

One of my favorite things about the New Albany Farmers Market is that it's so much more than a place to shop—it's a place to discover the people, businesses, and creativity that make our community special.

I took you along with me to meet some of the wonderful vendors at the market, and I had to point out one of my favorite local finds while I'm at it...

👗 **My dress is from Mariposa Consignments!**

I love being able to support local businesses in more ways than one. The products I make, the businesses I shop with, the vendors I highlight, and the people I meet all contribute to the community we're building together. 🫶

So come take a stroll through the market with me, meet some local makers, grab something delicious, and maybe discover your next favorite small business!

🩷 **Some things simply can't be rushed.**

Almost three years ago, I learned how to make soap from a talented maker in Williamsburg, Kentucky.

This month, I finally made my first batches on my own.

Not because I wasn't capable.
Not because I was afraid.
But because I wanted to do it the right way.

Soap making requires working with a caustic ingredient, and I knew I didn't want to make it in the same kitchen where I prepared food. Sometimes the right opportunity takes time to create.

This week, I made three batches:

✨ Unscented Carrot Soap (for sensitive skin)
✨ Dark Amber Rosewood
✨ A brand-new blend that I need **YOUR** help naming! 🩷

The beautiful thing about soap is that even after it's made, it isn't ready. It has to cure for **4–6 weeks** before it's at its best.

I couldn't help but think how much we're like that.

Sometimes we're frustrated because something is taking longer than we expected. But time spent preparing isn't time wasted. Growth, healing, learning, and building often happen long before anyone else sees the finished product.

Take your time.
Do it well.
Listen to your body.
Be gracious with yourself.

You only get one body, one life, and one opportunity to be you. There is no prize for rushing through it.

These soaps are expected to be ready just in time for **Harvest Homecoming**, and I can't wait to share them with you.

💬 Now I need your help! What would you name our newest soap blend? Drop your ideas below—I may choose one! 🩷🫶

🩷 **No one builds a dream alone.**

Today, I found myself reflecting on just how many people have helped shape this journey.

To every customer who has shopped online, visited my booth at the farmers market, stopped by Clifton Emporium, shared a post, or recommended Le(a)d to Love to a friend... thank you.

To my friends and family who have encouraged me through the highs and the hard days... thank you.

To my Granny, who still calls me to place her order like I'm the Avon lady... thank you for making me smile every single time. 🤍😊

And to the entrepreneurs who have been generous enough to share their wisdom, answer my questions, offer encouragement, and challenge me to think differently—thank you. So much of the progress you've seen has come from implementing the advice of people who were willing to share what they've learned. Your kindness has made a lasting impact.

Every order, every conversation, every piece of advice, every share, and every word of encouragement has helped build Le(a)d to Love into what it is today.

This business has never been just about skincare. It's about people. It's about trust. It's about community. And it's about creating something that leaves people better than I found them.

Thank you for believing in this dream and allowing me to be a small part of your lives. I don't take your support for granted.

Love you all. Let's choose love and lead to love. 🩷🫶

💬 I'd love to hear from you—who's someone that has encouraged or mentored you along your journey? Let's celebrate them in the comments.

🩷 **Your emotions are not your enemy. They're information.**

Fear.
Anger.
Joy.
Grief.
Excitement.
Disappointment.

Our emotions often arise automatically, and they're naturally temporary. While we can't always choose what we feel, we can choose how we respond and learn healthy ways to process our emotions so they don't begin to control us.

Ignoring our emotions doesn't make them disappear. Sometimes it simply buries them until they show up in unhealthy ways.

I've also learned that when we consistently numb emotions like fear, sadness, or anger, we often end up numbing joy, peace, gratitude, and excitement too.

Be intentional about the people you surround yourself with. Some encourage healing, wisdom, and accountability. Others feed fear, resentment, bitterness, or hopelessness. The voices we allow into our lives influence how we process what we're feeling.

You don't have to react to every emotion, but you don't have to deny it either.

Pause.
Acknowledge it.
Learn from it.
Then choose a response that aligns with the person you're becoming.

I hope today reminds you that your emotions deserve your attention—but they don't have to dictate your decisions.

Love you all. Let's choose love and lead to love. 🩷🫶

🫶 **POV: The guest bedroom became the space where a dream keeps growing.**

Not long ago, this was simply a spare bedroom.

Today, it's becoming the production space for Le(a)d to Love. Every shelf assembled, every box unpacked, and every workspace organized is another step toward serving you better.

I was so excited after getting the room closer to where I envisioned it that I couldn't help myself—I pulled out my trusty stand mixers and made two of our most requested body butters:

🩷 Baja Cactus Blossom
🩷 Grapefruit + Mint

These are for some of my most loyal customers, and I can't wait for you to get your hands on them!

**Body butter will be available this Saturday at the New Albany Farmers Market in very limited quantities.** Once they're gone, they're gone!

The best part? This is only the beginning. Soon, our new 30-quart mixer will help us produce larger batches, which means your favorite body butters will be available much more consistently.
