Please join us in congratulating Ms. Jillian, our Preschool 2 teacher! 🎊

Ms. Jillian brings so much warmth, patience, and creativity to her classroom every single day — and this summer, she went above and beyond. She jumped in to help plan our end of summer fun, from the first brainstorm to the last cleanup, and her ideas and energy are a big part of why the day was such a hit. 🎈☀️

Her students light up when they see her, and it's easy to see why. She makes learning feel like an adventure, celebrates every "I did it!" moment, and creates a space where every child feels safe, loved, and capable.

We are so lucky to have her on our team. Congratulations, Ms. Jillian — this one is well deserved! 💛

A Day in the Life of a Goddard Preschooler ☀️

She scooped, poured, and squished her way through sensory play 🌈 practiced her scissor skills one careful snip at a time ✂️ strung beads into a masterpiece (hello, fine motor skills! 📿) zoomed around outside on her favorite scooter 🛴 and wrapped it all up with a giggly game of Duck, Duck, Goose with her best buddies 🦆💛

Every activity looks like play — and it is! But behind the fun, she's building hand strength, focus, coordination, and friendships that last.

Kindergarten readiness can show up in everyday moments, not just big milestones. A few signals to notice:

1. They’re building confidence to try things independently. Examples: walking into a room first, asking for help, or giving something new a try.

2. They’re starting to recognize the letters in their name, even if they’re not reading just yet.

3. They’re showing care and responsibility at home. This could include things like helping pack a bag, feeding a pet, putting away toys, or getting through part of their routine with a little more ease.

Every child grows at their own pace - and readiness looks different for every family. Their preschool teachers can be a great partner in noticing strengths, celebrating progress, and helping you think through what comes next.
