A change to the distribution of funds in the MN Permanent School Trust Fund would equate to $16,000 per year for Nevis School. Watch for the question on the Nov. 3rd ballot. The change requires a voter approved constitutional amendment and it does not increase taxes. Read more below!
This fall, Minnesota voters will have the opportunity to vote on a constitutional amendment related to the Permanent School Fund, a resource that has supported public education in Minnesota for more than 165 years.
The proposed amendment would modernize how distributions from the fund are calculated, helping schools benefit from the fund’s long-term growth while not increasing existing taxes or costing Minnesotans more money.
