What a great way to kick off the season! Nevada Scholar Bowl sent two teams to SHOW-ME V at Glendale High School in Springfield on Saturday, and both teams made us proud.

Our A team finished in second place! They stayed undefeated all day until a loss to Springfield Central in the championship, ending with a 7-1 record. Shaun Doyle was named A-Team MVP with 270 points.

Our B team finished 11th out of 20 teams with a 3-4 record. Freshman Bryce Gordon was named B-Team MVP and also won an individual medal, placing fifth overall in the morning rounds with 385 points and an average of 55 points per game.

We are proud of these Tigers!

NEVADA SCHOLAR BOWL OPEN PRACTICES

The new Scholar Bowl season is about to start!

Nevada High School Scholar Bowl will hold open practices for students who want to join the team. These practices offer an opportunity to meet the team, learn how Scholar Bowl works, and get a sense of what it is like to compete for NHS.

You don't need to have participated in Scholar Bowl before. We want students who are curious, willing to learn, ready to put in the effort, and interested in challenging themselves as part of a team.

Returning players, this is your opportunity to get back behind the buzzers and start preparing for the season ahead.

New players, you don't need to walk through the door knowing everything. Come ready to learn, compete, and see what Scholar Bowl has to offer.

Open Practices:
Monday, 8/31, 3:15-5:30
Thursday, 9/3, 5:15-7:30

Location: NHS Computer Lab

Help us find our next Scholar Bowl players! Please share this post and help us spread the word. If you know a Nevada High School student who is academically curious, enjoys competition, loves learning, or who you think would be a great fit for Scholar Bowl, encourage them to come to an Open Practice and give it a try.
