Today is a snow day for the Nevada City School District. Due to the current road conditions and forecast of continuing snow, all school and related activities are canceled for today.

Dear Nevada City School District Families,

Due to a shift in the storm this morning, the National Weather Service is advising that the safest window to release students is between 12:00–1:00 p.m.

As a result, we will have an early dismissal today at 12:10 p.m.

Please note that bus transportation will not be available this afternoon. Families will need to arrange pickup for students. Early pickup is allowed.

At our February 10, 2026 Board Meeting, the Board of Trustees approved the 2026–2027 Student Calendar.

We know many of our families like to plan vacations, appointments, and special events well in advance, so we’re happy to share that the calendar is now available! Be sure to check it out on our website for important dates, holidays, and school breaks.
