Sierra Surf Music Camp: where folks get together to play surf music! Imagine taking a guitar lesson from the likes of John Blair, Paul Johnson, or Dave Wronski.
From kids (of all ages) just picking up their instrument to professional players and founders of the genre, Sierra Surf Music Camp is a center of surf music creativity for one long weekend of each year. Drum lessons with Dusty Watson. Hanging out with friends and family, learning about the history of surf music, and even creating the future of it. All of this takes place in the mountains outside of Nevada City, CA along the picturesque Bear River.

Dear Campers, Instructors, Friends & Family,
The Sierra Surf Music Camp board of directors has decided to not present a camp for the year of 2018. Time commitments, scheduling, touring and other responsibilities have all contributed to this decision. We will regroup and look at presenting a camp in 2019.
Thank you all for your support over the past 6 years! Together we have had some great fun, made friends, and grown surf music. Several bands were formed at camp that went on to become real working bands. I think our greatest accomplishment has been sharing surf music with the younger generation. We've done our part to insure that the genre will continue to grow and be appreciated.
I'd also like to thank my family and Donner Mine Camp for helping us with our camp. Without their support it never would have happened.
