There would be a mixed tenant base of owners and renters. People of all ages living in harmony. The developments would be zoned mixed-use, with agriculture, residential, and commercial. Each of these developments would have its food coop store, coffee shop, yoga and meditation studio, food-producing farm, restaurants, and an art center with pottery studios, glass blowing, wood crafting, cloth making, and other skilled arts. The developments would have its hardware store, a naturopath doctor, an alternative medicine practitioner, natural builders, a spiritual center, as well a cooperative school teaching the kids in the community the arts, self-sustainably, natural building, and natural living principles. The impact of the development on the local community is the fifth criterion. Natural living developments will hire local builders creating jobs and potentially creating a new industry. The natural building phases of the projects take a lot of labor to complete. The learning curve in a natural building is extremely fast. After a few days of doing the same task over and over again, the builders become highly efficient. It's not like in a conventional building where a trade can take years to master. The education of this labor can lead to the creation of a new building industry for the town.
