2nd grade has really been falling for Fall and learning all about leaves! They’ve explored three different types of leaves (oak, elm, and maple) and compared and contrasted their characteristics too! Students did a leaf-rubbing art craft and loved being outdoors to collect and discuss leaves and autumn using our five senses.

So far this year in 2nd grade, Ms.Dilley's and Mrs.Geremia’s class have been so eager to explore and learn new things! In math, students are learning how to use different strategies to solve an equation. They are also working hard to use math language to explain their thinking! In reading, students have learned so much about farmers harvesting cranberries in the text, "Cranberry Crop." Students were even able to taste cranberry sauce! During social studies, students have been learning about all different types of communities (urban, rural, and suburban). The kids are more than ready to continue learning and to see what the rest of 2nd grade has in store.
