A tidbit of information for folks who are new to our cupboard or needs a refresher:

1. We are a local non profit 501c that is operated by Wesley United Methodist Church in Nescopeck. Our food giveaways are held every 2nd Tuesday 10am-1pm at the HOPE CENTER, 650 Harter Ave.

2. NACC is NOT affiliated with the Hope Center. We are 2 separate organizations that are under one roof. The Hope Center is kind enough to share their space with the cupboard so we can store our food.

3. In order to receive food from NACC, you MUST be a resident of Berwick School District. You need to have proof of residency (utility bill & ID). If you have a time assigned to you, come at your time. If you do not have a time or are new to us, please arrive at 10:30-12:30 to sign up and you will receive your time slot.

We are always accepting donations (monetary & non perishable). Non perishable items can be dropped of in the lobby of the Hope Center. Monetary donations: checks should be made out to "Nescopeck Area Community Cupboard" and mailed to Wesley Church, 401 Broad St, Nescopeck PA 18635. On the memo line please write in food cupboard.

NACC appreciates your donations so we can continue to serve our community.

If you have any questions, please call Wesley United Methodist Church at 570-752-3502. If you get the answering machine, please leave a detailed message and we will get back to you!

Have a Blessed day 🙏

IMPORTANT NOTICE concerning the Nescopeck Area Community Food giveaway:

Beginning July 8, 2025, we will be holding registration inside the building before you pick up your food outside. Hours are 10am-1:45pm.

DIRECTIONS for lining up will change. Line up on 5th St to Warren, turn left on Warren to Harter Ave, turn right on Harter Ave. PLEASE DO NOT BLOCK ANY DRIVEWAYS!

Due to NACC signing up for "The Emergency Food Assistance Program" (TEFAP), everyone is required to fill out a "Self Declaration of Need" form that will be provided.

On July 8th everyone will be assigned a pick-up time like was done before the giveaway moved outside. These times will be strictly enforced.

If you are picking up for other families, you will need to bring a paper signed by them to give you permission to pick up their food. You will also be given a "Self Declaration of Need" form which includes a proxy (permission to pick up) that needs to be filled out by them and MUST be returned the next time you pick up food. If you do not return the form, you will not be given food for that family.

You MUST bring a utility bill each time you come to pick up food (this is our check that you are a resident of the Berwick Area School District).

If you rent and do not have a utility bill, you will need your driver's license for proof of residency.

REMEMBER, you must live within the Berwick Area School District to receive food.

We will have volunteers directing traffic to 650 Harter Ave (The Hope Center), that houses NACC. We will allow 10 cars at a time to park & to register. We will open our doors at 10am, so please do not come early and block the roads. You will be given an assigned time on July 8th. Please be patient and be kind as we start this new program to help you, our community.
