🌟 Shoutout to our AMAZING custodial team, Doug and Cynthia! 🌟

We truly don’t know what we would do without these two! Their hard work, care, and attention to detail have made our school feel better than ever—and we are SO thankful for them! ❤️

Over the summer, they’ve gone above and beyond to take care of our building. From lovingly tending to our plants and making sure they survived the summer 🌱, to waxing and buffing our floors until they are absolutely PERFECT ✨, they have poured so much time and pride into making our school shine.

And it’s not just the big things! Doug and Cynthia have a way of making our common areas feel homey, warm, and cozy—the kind of spaces that make students and staff feel comfortable, welcome, and cared for.

Their work may happen behind the scenes, but the difference they make is impossible to miss. We have never been more thankful for such an incredible custodial team!

Thank you, Doug and Cynthia, for everything you do and for putting so much heart into our school. We appreciate you more than you know! 💙🏫✨

These last few weeks here at Central Campus have been BUSY in the best way possible! 🌱🎓🐟

From planting gardens and hosting events, to helping at the Fish Hatchery and GRADUATING SENIORS, our students and staff have been working hard every single day. Even as the countdown to summer continues, our students are still pushing through with an amazing amount of work ethic, determination, and finesse.

We are so proud of everything they’ve accomplished this year and so thankful for the incredible staff who help make it all happen.

We love our Central Campus family and hope everyone has a safe, relaxing, and wonderful Summer 2026! ☀️

Last but not least during Teacher Appreciation Week, we want to recognize Glenn Oney.

With 26 years of teaching under his belt, Glenn has dedicated decades to our students, our school, and our district in ways that go far beyond the classroom. On top of teaching, he also drives a bus every day—both for the district routes and for countless field trips—making sure our kids get where they need to go safely, reliably, and with someone they trust at the wheel.

Glenn is the kind of person who keeps everything running without needing attention for it. He’s thoughtful, incredibly organized, and the person you can count on when a project needs structure, follow-through, and care. He plays a major role in projects like Reading Rocks and our quarterly Student Awards, helping create experiences that celebrate and motivate our students in meaningful ways.

After these next couple of weeks, Glenn will be stepping into a well-earned retirement. While we’re excited for what’s next for him, it’s hard to imagine our halls, buses, and events without his steady presence. He will be deeply missed by students and staff alike.

Thank you, Glenn, for everything you’ve poured into this community.

Teacher Appreciation Week wouldn’t be complete without recognizing Bailey Brown!

Bailey has such a special way of making students feel seen, accepted, and valued exactly as they are — flaws and all. She creates an environment where mistakes are treated as opportunities to learn and grow, offering guidance and solutions instead of judgment. That kind of patience and understanding leaves a lasting impact on kids.

She also knows how important it is for students to simply be kids. Whether it’s bringing back old school fun like dodgeball or creating moments where students can laugh, move, and be themselves, Bailey helps make our campus feel joyful and welcoming.

Beyond the classroom, she is constantly stepping up to make our school and community better. From leading cleanup efforts around campus to helping care for areas all the way down to Big Springs Park, her pride and dedication shine through in everything she does.

Thank you, Bailey, for your heart, your energy, and the countless ways you support our students and school every single day. We appreciate you more than words can say!

Teacher Appreciation Week gives us the perfect opportunity to recognize the incredible people who pour so much into our students—and today we’re celebrating Nicholle Bayless 💙

Nicholle consistently goes above and beyond, giving her time, energy, and heart to our school community. So much of her outside time is spent tutoring students, shopping for classroom needs, and making sure our kids have what they need to succeed. That kind of dedication doesn’t go unnoticed—it makes a real difference every single day.

She’s also stepped up in a huge way by taking on additional science classes, bringing learning to life in creative and meaningful ways. From using our school grounds to teach lessons to guiding students through the life cycle of plants with our newly planted garden, she turns everyday moments into powerful learning experiences.

On top of that, Nicholle is always one of the first to raise her hand when something needs to be done. Whether it’s helping plan events or encouraging student involvement in school parties and activities, she plays a big role in making our school a fun, connected, and engaging place to be.

We are so lucky to have someone as passionate, selfless, and committed as Nicholle Bayless on our team. Thank you for everything you do for our students and our school—you are truly appreciated! 🌟

We're getting in the gardening spirit on Central Campus! With a small mountain of compost donated by our friends over at J-M Farms, students have been planting seedlings, culling invasive species, beautifying our grounds, making memories, and learning real life lessons!

It’s Teacher Appreciation Week, and we want to take a moment to recognize someone who truly made an impact when we needed it most—Susan Dodson. 💙

Back in January, during a very difficult time for our team, Susan stepped up without hesitation. In what felt like an instant, she became part of our little work family, bringing not only her skills but her heart into our building.

In the classroom, Susan’s creativity shines. From guiding students through creating their own podcasts to finding engaging, meaningful ways to teach communication, she makes learning come alive in a way students won’t forget.

Even more importantly, Susan sees her students. She notices the details of their lives, checks in, and makes sure every student feels heard, valued, and understood.

We are so grateful for the way she showed up for our school and continues to show up for our students every single day. Thank you, Susan, for everything you do! 🍎

It’s the start of Teacher Appreciation Week, and we want to take a moment to recognize just how incredible our teachers are here at Central Campus.

Every single day, they go above and beyond—not just teaching lessons, but pouring their time, energy, and even their own resources into making sure our students succeed. From staying late to help a struggling student, to coming in early to prepare engaging lessons, to spending their own money on classroom supplies and activities… their dedication does not go unnoticed.

Our teachers are mentors, encouragers, problem-solvers, and constant sources of support. They create a safe and positive environment where students can grow, learn, and thrive. Simply put, Central Campus would not run—let alone run well—without them.

This week, we celebrate you and all that you do. Thank you for your passion, your sacrifice, and your unwavering commitment to our students. We are so grateful for each and every one of you. 🍎
