🌟2026 American FFA Degree🌟

Congratulations to these FFA members for earning their American FFA Degree.

Earning this degree is a reflection of their hard work in the classroom, effort applied to their supervised agricultural experiences, and dedication to Neosho FFA. It is the highest degree achievable in the National FFA Organization.

We can't wait to see them recognized on stage in October at the National FFA Convention in Indianapolis!

As a result of her hard work today, and all summer long, she has earned a spot in the prestigious Sale of Champions on August 22 in Sedalia.

Laynee will be one of only twelve 4-H/FFA members from across Missouri to be a part of the Sale of Champions.

This summer, the Neosho FFA Poultry Team has been preparing for national competition and recently returned from Texas A&M University’s Poultry Judging Camp, where they practiced their skills in all areas of the Poultry CDE.

The camp concluded with a competition and the team consisting of Lily Lewis, Ava Hines, Colby McGehee, Laynee Morgan, and Shyliah Robinson placed 4th overall. Colby placed 9th as an individual. Students from 10 different states were in attendance.

Congratulations to the entire team as they continue preparing to represent Neosho FFA at the national contest in October!

Neosho FFA and Newton County 4-H members exhibited their country cured hams this morning at the Ozark Empire Fair Gold Buckle Extravaganza.

Our students were well represented, with several earning spots in the Top 15 out of more than 100 hams exhibited. A special congratulations to Addi Wiest, who earned 3rd Place in the Senior Division.

A country cured ham project is a process that begins in January when the cure is first applied. Over the next several months, students monitor the hams through each stage of the curing process before cleaning and trimming them in the summer to prepare for judging at the fair.

Neosho FFA members, Addi, Laynee, Nancy, Mason, and Connor attended the National FFA Next Gen Agribusiness Conference in Chicago, IL.

They completed a competitive, nation-wide application, and were selected as one of the 75 students to attend.

They were able to watch a St. Louis Cardinals game, explore downtown Chicago, tour both Chicago High School of Agricultural Sciences and Invenergy, and participate in sessions at the conference. From attending this conference they gained real-world experiences from industry professionals and the opportunity to network with others.

Thank you to the Neosho FFA Booster Club for providing assistance with the conference!

2027 Next Gen applications will open soon, be sure to ask about applying!

The landscaping at the Ag. Center is in full bloom. Drive by sometime and check it out!🤩

Fun Fact: the landscaping around the building contains over 60 plants from the Nursery/Landscape CDE. Not only does it look nice, but a great learning opportunity for our students!
