Great weekend with the parade, pep rally, and game performances. Thank you for all those who helped. We had a tremendous homecoming dance. Two weeks left of the marching season and we are quite busy with band. Please help your student get to rehearsal on time and be in attendance for sectionals. We need to get the 4th movement onto the field and will have some scheduling challenges.

Wednesday Oct 14 - Hurts Donut Order Pickup after school until 4:30pm. Students should pickup all orders they sold and deliver on this day.

Thursday Oct 15 - Fall Jazz Concert featuring our JH Jazz Cats as well as HS Studio and Stage Bands. Concert is at 6pm. Students are wearing all black dress clothes for that event.

Saturday Oct 17 - Maple Leaf Marching Festival. Detailed schedule for the day can be found here:

The band had a hard fought day yesterday at Valahalla and perservered with two excellent performances. Thank you for all the assistance. Especially with the quick turnaround after prelim awards, feeding, and finals as well as unloading when getting back. We are anxious to get into our final movement of the show. This week there is not a competition, and it is a short week of school. However, it is homecoming week, there is a parade, a game, two pep rallies and the band hosts the dance at the JH as a fundraiser to the program. Here are some notes for the week:

Tuesday, Oct 6 - Monthly Booster Meeting 6pm in the High School Band Room

Thursday, Oct 8 - Pep Rally in the afternoon. Students will report to the band room at 1pm to gather their instruments, warmup, tune and then perform the pep rally (which should go most the rest of the school day). Attire will be Uniform B (khaki tan shorts and 2026 band shirt).

Friday, Oct 9 - Homecoming Parade & Game - Students will need to have their instruments (NO CASES) reporting to the band lineup area at Morse Park by 1:30pm in uniform B (2026 band shirt and khaki tan shorts). The parade will begin at 2pm. After the parade, the band will perform at a short pep rally across from Rise Elementary School. The band room will be open from 11am-1pm for students to pickup their instruments to transfer to the parade route. After the parade we will return to the band room and it will be open until the game. Students are welcome to stay after the parade until the game or get something to eat and return. We will be in full uniform for the game so they will need their black athletic shorts as well. Report time for the game is 5:15pm.

Saturday, Oct 10 - Homecoming Dance hosted by the band. The dance begins at 7pm. We will send out a signup as well as more details on this to help with donations, chaperones, decorating, and more.

We are leaving the competition now. ETA to return is midnight. We will unload and then kids are free to go. Please do not park on the north end of the building by the band room so the semi trailer can get in.
