Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine and the Ohio Department of Transportation have announced nearly $52 million in grants to improve bicycle and pedestrian infrastructure across the state.

The funding will support 44 projects in 33 counties over four years, including improvements to sidewalks, crosswalks, bike lanes, and recreational trails. These projects will help improve safety, expand transportation options, and strengthen connections within Ohio communities.

These projects will expand transportation options and help make the broader Hocking College community safer, healthier and more connected.

A quick response made a big difference on campus this week!

A fallen tree blocked the bike path to the Riverside residence halls Tuesday evening, but it didn’t stay there for long. Within an hour, student employee Jeremy from Hocking College’s grounds crew had the path cleared.

A big shoutout to Jeremy for stepping up and taking care of our campus community. Thank you, Jeremy!

Yesterday’s Fall Club Fair brought 200 students to the Hawk’s Nest Dining Hall Patio to explore clubs and organizations, meet new people, and discover ways to get involved at Hocking College!

Hocking College’s Automotive Technology program prepares you for high-demand careers as automotive technicians through hands-on learning in live labs and real-world industry experiences. You will develop skills in automotive service, diagnostics, repair, and maintenance of engine, brake, suspension, drivetrain, HVAC, and emission systems. You will learn in a different type of classroom where you will train with industry-standard tools and technology while building the technical expertise and customer service skills that today’s automotive employers expect.
