Hocking College Dedicated to providing quality, affordable education to help you reach your full potential.

Founded in 1968, Hocking College now serves more than 3,000 students. Set in the scenic town of Nelsonville, Ohio, the 2,300-acre institution is rich in history, nature, art and culture. Hocking College also has the Perry Campus located in New Lexington, Ohio and the Logan Campus. In addition to the school’s on-campus residents, who attend Hocking from throughout the United States and around the world, local students commute from all over Southeastern Ohio.

Take your education to new heights at Hocking College!

Our Introduction to Unmanned Aerial Systems course prepares students for the FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certification Exam, while providing hands-on experience in drone flight and cinematic aerial videography. Students will also build a professional portfolio showcasing their piloting and photography skills.

This course is especially valuable for students interested in forestry, wildlife management, conservation law enforcement, emergency response, public safety and other various industry segments, as drones are becoming an increasingly common tool for careers in these areas.

Homecoming touches down Saturday, Oct. 3 at Hocking College. Come hang out, show some spirit, and remember why you love it here!

Check out the Homecoming Car Show, spend some time on campus, and then cheer on Hocking College Football as the Hawks take on Erie Community College at 1 p.m.

Hocking College will play Nassau CC at Athens High School on Saturday September 26 @ Joe Burrow Stadium. Game time is still set for 1 pm. Athens High School will offer concession and all patrons are able to attend for $6 per person. Anyone traveling to the game can input Joe Burrow stadium into your GPS and it will take you directly to the stadium parking lot.

This weekends game will be cashless for ticketing. The game QR code will be at the table and is also available on the Hudl fan app to purchase in advance. We will scan your receipt as you walk in the stadium.

Did you know Superman has Ohio roots?

For National Comic Book Day, we’re highlighting Cleveland teenagers Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster. The two met as students at Glenville High School and began creating comics together. In 1933, they created Superman, who made his published debut in Action Comics No. 1 in 1938.

Right here in Ohio, their idea became one of the world’s most recognizable superheroes.
