Gary Edwards NYHS Class of 1978

Without the hard work, vision, and unwavering dedication of Gary Edwards, our athletic facilities would be nowhere near what they are today. Because of his efforts — whether through hands-on labor, fundraising, or countless hours of behind-the-scenes work — we now have some of the finest athletic facilities in the region, and in many cases, the entire state.

Gary is a proud alumnus and former NYHS athlete who played under Coach Boston Sr. in the 1970s. He was named MVP of the TVC in 1977, a testament to his talent and leadership on the field. Beyond athletics, Gary continued to give back through many years of service on the school board, helping shape the future of the school and its programs.

Gary Edwards has been instrumental, contributing in ways seen and unseen to the advancement of our programs. His legacy is not just in the buildings and fields — it lives in every athlete who benefits from his efforts.

Jim Edwards NYHS Class of 1975
