A month-long summer music festival in the Blue Ridge Mountains with concerts, seminars, and events held at Wintergreen Resort and neighboring wineries, cideries, breweries, and venues. was founded in 1995 and has enjoyed 22+ years of continuous, successful operation. Our signature production is the four-week Wintergreen Summer Music Festival and Academy during the month of July, at which we offer
countless events consisting of orchestra, chamber music, jazz, and solo concerts; a series of informal, educational seminars; cooking classes, wine tastings, and coffee concerts; the visual and literary arts; a film festival; and dance and theatre performances. Each year, the Wintergreen Summer Music Festival is built around a theme that serves to inspire and unite the vast array of programming. The highly-skilled artists that come from around the world to perform and the outstanding programming at the Wintergreen Summer Music Festival are drawing national and international attention. Add in the cool mountain temperatures and the beautiful vistas and you begin to understand why this Festival has become the “must do” summer event in the region.
