This was a VERY hard decision...but it's time.

To all who have cooked with me for the last 18 years:

As I close the chapter on this incredible journey of running Budding Chefs, I want to take a moment to express my deepest gratitude to each and every one of you. Over the years, it has been an absolute joy to share the love of cooking with you. Watching your children discover the magic of creating in the kitchen has been a source of endless inspiration. Your trust, support, and enthusiasm have been the heart and soul of this business. Whether it was the laughter during a messy recipe, the pride in a perfectly baked treat, or the joy of new foods explored together, these moments are memories I will cherish forever. Thank you for inviting me into your lives and allowing me to be a part of your family's growth and happiness. Though this chapter is coming to a close, I carry with me the friendships, smiles, and lessons that have made Budding Chefs so special. I hope the skills and confidence your children gained will stay with them for years to come. As I step into retirement, I leave with a heart full of gratitude and love. Thank you for coming along with me on the journey.

And a big thank you to my family for supporting me all these years - especially Tanner for the inspiration to start this journey when you were 4. ❤️

I’ve been terrible about posting class pictures!
I need to clear them off my phone so I will get them on here eventually.

I loved this week’s Simple Meals class. These girls understood the assignment! They split into 2 groups - their idea-and decided how to delegate all the tasks. The sloppy Jose casserole and lemon blueberry muffins turned out great.

At every class, I think, “This is my favorite age to work with.” Then I work with a different age group and yup, I think the same thing. They’re all so fun! For Cadettes, I can give them the recipes and guide them to making everything themselves. These young ladies made delicious chili, cornbread, black bean brownies and ginger water.

So nice to have a mom offer to take pictures today! We made overnight oats to take home and rolled the Smoothie Dice to find out what we were putting in our smoothies and how they keep us healthy. We also learned about DIGESTION 😊

I’m finally teaching again after fracturing my Pelvic ring (fractures in the hip, sacrum and pelvis) and dislocating my thumb in a bicycle accident one month ago. I taught the whole class yesterday without my crutches so I was pretty sore after. But I had a wonderful chauffeur who also helped with cleanup; my husband Scott. He will be helping me next weekend also. After that I hope to be able to drive myself to my October classes!

We found out that “If you give a pig a pancake…” so many things happen! We had to make pancakes to see for ourselves, specifically, Cinnamon Apple Pancakes. They were delicious. And yes there were sticky fingers, just like the book. Kaukauna Recreation Department
