As the school year comes to an end today, the Clayton PTA wants to thank all teachers, staff and parents for their support to our Clayton kids during these unprecedented times. Support and love is what makes our Clayton family so special. Have a safe summer

With the extension of Governor Evers’ Safer at Home Order, all public and parochial schools have been ordered closed through the remainder of the year, which necessitates cancellation of the remaining PTA meetings and events.

All of us have had to adapt to many changes in recent times, and the PTA is no different. Elections for next year’s board were supposed to be conducted during this time. Given the unprecedented situation, the 2020-2021 PTA board was appointed by the current board. This procedure was approved by Principal Schumacher. This was done in order to allow the PTA to continue serving Clayton students, families, teachers and staff into next school year with no disruption in services.

Prior to school closure, a letter was sent home to parents from the PTA. Included in that letter was a box that could be checked indicating that a person was interested in serving on the PTA board. The current PTA board used those responses in order to reach out to individuals and the new board was appointed based on those responses.

We hope that everyone is remaining healthy and that everyone is safe during these unprecedented times. In compliance with Governor Evers’ Safer at Home order, Spring Carnival - scheduled for April 24th is cancelled. We are saddened that this fun tradition will not be able to continue this year. However, we are already in discussions with Mrs. Schumacher about rescheduling for the fall. We miss our Clayton families and hope to see you all again soon.

This link provides the times and locations of NJSD's food delivery. "All children 18 and under are eligible to receive a free lunch and breakfast for the following day during the school closure period due to COVID-19. The meals are made possible through the Wisconsin Department of Instruction along with Chartwell's and Kobussen Buses."

An urgent message from Mrs. Schumacher concerning tonight’s Arts and Smarts

Clayton families: Due to the public health emergency declared today by Governor Evers, we are CANCELLING our Arts and Smarts event for this evening. The state has required any events that involve more than 250 people to be cancelled.

All student projects will remain at school through tomorrow. We will be having an all school celebration where students will be sharing their Genius Hour projects with their peers and staff during our school day. If your student made a food sample, he/she will bring it home today. Other projects will be sent home with students tomorrow.

We appreciate your understanding and cooperation with this decision.

Just want to thank ALL of the parent volunteers and staff members who came in this morning to help us get ready for Arts and Smarts! If your child signed up but wasn't able to bring in their art project or food items this morning, no worries, we have name tags ready and table space reserved for you! Please bring the project tonight, doors open at 5. Looking forward to a fun evening!

Monday, March 20th is the deadline for sending in donations for Clayton's Annual Spring Carnival! We are actively seeking donations for our AWESOME baskets that help to make this one of our school's most important fundraisers! You can send monetary donations and basket donations with your child to school, or you can drop them off in the office. Please help us make this year's Carnival the best one yet!

We are looking for approximately 10 volunteers to assist in setting up tables and chairs for Clayton's Arts and Smarts event, and to help the students bring their art projects into the gym.
