Our incredible leadership team gifted us the opportunity to attend the Beyond the Fence nature retreat in Dodgeville, WI this weekend, and it was nothing short of transformative.
To be surrounded by so many like-minded educators, all deeply rooted in a shared love for nature and a passion for nurturing children through nature-based learning, was truly inspiring.
Even more meaningful was the chance to meet the authors whose books and philosophies help guide our work every single day. Connecting with these amazing humans in person felt like such an honor, and it deepened our understanding and appreciation for the path we’re on as a center.
We spent our time hiking through beautiful landscapes, sharing laughter, exchanging ideas, and simply soaking in the peace that nature brings. There was space to learn, to reflect, and to grow—both individually and together as a team.
Experiences like this remind us why we do what we do.
We return feeling refreshed, inspired, and even more connected to our mission and to one another.
We are beyond thankful for this opportunity, for our leadership team, and for a community that values the power of nature in childhood.
This is a weekend we will carry with us for a long, long time. 🌿❤️

Spring has arrived, and with it comes endless opportunities for discovery 🌱💧
From splashing in puddles to exploring the shoreline, our little learners are embracing the wonders of nature with curiosity, creativity, and joy. Every stick becomes a tool, every rock a treasure, and every moment an opportunity to learn.
At our Nature-Based Childcare, we believe the best classroom has no walls—where children can connect with the earth, build confidence, and learn through hands-on exploration.
✨ Nature nurtures imagination
✨ Outdoor play builds resilience
✨ Curiosity leads the way
Here’s to muddy boots, big smiles, and meaningful learning in the great outdoors 🌿

Due to the continued impact of the snowstorm, we will remain closed tomorrow, Tuesday, March 17.
Our parking lot will not be plowed before our normal opening time, and there is no parking allowed on Nicolet Street while city plows are working, including for drop-offs. In addition, some of our staff members are still snowed in and unable to travel safely.
With nearby districts including Neenah, Menasha, and surrounding schools also closed, we feel it is best—for the safety of our families, children, and staff—to remain closed for the day.
Thank you for your understanding, and please stay safe 🤍
