I would like to share some exciting news with you: in addition to my role as Executive Director of Tobin Beaudet Schools, I will be taking on the role of Executive Director of The Tobin Family of Schools. Mary Beth Claus Tobin, my mother, who founded the schools 37 years ago, is transitioning from Executive Director to CEO of the schools. This will be great for our school because it will keep me focused on cutting edge strategy and best practices.

Alex Maider will continue in her role as Program Director of both School Street and Club 1458. We are very fortunate here at Tobin Beaudet to have an amazing team of educators as well as our dymanic Leadership Team and Program Director. You and your child see the results of their hard work everyday.

We look forward to continuously creating a rich and thoughtful place for children and families to grow and flourish, and one in which our teachers can be their best for our children.

Club 1458 is crazy for Spicy Uno! Our new Group Leader, Faraday, introduced us to the game, a complex version of the popular card game Uno. In Spicy Uno, you can switch cards: putting down a 6 means that you must tap the table, and after a player puts down a 7 card, everyone has to be silent until another one is put down! It makes for an exciting and fast-paced game - a new 1458 favorite!

During meetings, Club 1458 is not merely sitting still, they are going on wild adventures! Recently, kids have started each day's meeting with a story, and each page ends with a choice, one that could completely change where the adventurers end up. Club members could be high in the Nepalese mountains hunting abominable snowmen, or deep underwater in the lost city of Atlantis, and a new experience is never far away!
