Miss Jay was practicing positional words with the kids.

We first showed the children different positions and read them cards to help them understand words like in, on, under, beside, and between. Then, it was their turn to try! Each child listened carefully as we read the cards and used objects to show the correct position. 🧸🐸

They did an amazing job listening, thinking, and putting their new skills to the test! We love watching our little learners grow through hands-on activities

What an eventful day at The Orchard! Today, we brought out some new toys and had so much fun trying out our new fishing kit! The kiddos also got creative by making Play-Doh faces with our face mats. Dawson, made a cucumber to represent the cucumbers growing in our garden outside and he was thrilled to show the class!

We also learned about positional words today, and everyone did amazing! To top off our fun-filled day, we even had some little fairies come visit us! 🧚✨

Preschool was super busy today! We introduced an office in our dramatic play and I must say they were loving it.
We also put out a variety of art materials and allowed the children to explore and create whatever they wanted.
Some made play dough sculptures. Some practiced their fine motor skills with scissors. It was a great opportunity to practice our scissor safety skills.
The children then wanted to paint the first letter of their name, so of course we made it happen!
The children had seen their teachers using rulers and wanted to try. They really enjoyed making lines and shapes. This was a great fine motor, math and language activity!
We had a dance party with Miss Rita, did some yoga and chased bubbles outside.
We found a cricket so of course we had to read "the very quiet cricket" by Eric Carle.
We really focus on child led learning. It makes our activities much more meaningful for the children.

Our preschoolers have been getting creative and having so much fun playing “teacher”! 🥹❤️ It’s truly heartwarming to watch them pretend to be us because it reminds us just how much of an impact we have on these little hearts and minds.

We’re not just teaching them how to write their names—we’re teaching them to be creative, sing, share, become independent, use their imaginations, and most importantly, be kind. 🫶🏼

Yes, we have our curriculum posted and planned out, but does it get completed exactly as written every single day? No—and that’s okay! Sometimes our kiddos become interested in something completely different, and we follow their lead. Those spontaneous moments can turn into some of the best learning experiences.

We know the work we do here. Our kids know it, our families know it, and our staff knows it. We’re so proud of the environment we’ve created at The Orchard—a place where learning happens through play, curiosity, creativity, and lots of love. 🍎❤️

We’re not just preparing little learners for school; we’re helping shape the next generation.

Miss Jacey’s infant room is full of happy smiles, giggles, and so much learning! 🥰💛 Our little ones have been working hard on their big milestones—practicing rolling, crawling, sitting up, and building those strong little muscles along the way!

We love watching each of our babies grow, learn, and reach new milestones every day at The Orchard! 🍎💕
