I don’t even know where to start…

The Orchard has been my second home since I came back to Nebraska from Minnesota. I was there from the very beginning — from the ribbon cutting to the very last kid who is going to be walking out of those doors on Friday.

These past three years have been absolutely incredible, and I have learned so much that I will carry with me forever. I will never forget the memories I made with each and every child. I hope they never forget me either. The bonds I have built over these years have been more special than I could ever put into words.

The Orchard wasn’t just a daycare to me. It was a place where I grew, where I loved, where I laughed, where I cried, and where I found so many people who became family. The kids became my babies, and watching them grow has been one of the greatest gifts of my life.

There are so many little moments I will miss — the hugs, the laughter, the silly conversations, the chaos, the smiles, and even the hard days. Every single one of them made The Orchard what it was.

My heart is broken knowing that this chapter is ending, but I am so incredibly thankful that I got to be a part of it. Three years may not seem like a lifetime, but the memories and relationships I made there will last a lifetime.

This isn’t goodbye… it’s simply “see you soon.” I truly believe God has a plan for all of us, even when we don’t understand it right now. I will forever be grateful for The Orchard, the children, the families, and every person who made those three years so incredibly special.

The Orchard will always have a piece of my heart.

Dear Orchard Families,
The news that we are closing next week has been a blow to all of us. Enrollment has been an issue since the Orchard opened. Even though we offer excellent care, our numbers have been lower than necessary to financially cover our expenses. Cornerstone church has been supporting us financially from the beginning. Without the giving and generosity of the church, our doors would have shut long ago. The leadership team had an agonizing decision to make.
Jayden and I want to say how very much each one of our children and their families mean to us. Your love and support have made this journey one filled with love and joy. Every day, we felt honored and blessed that you chose us to love and care for your children.
We have so many amazing memories. We have been sitting here sharing them, laughing and crying. Our hearts are broken, but we know going forward that every single child was given the best start to their education that we could provide.
We will miss the baby snuggles, seeing them meet milestones and celebrating their first steps. Sneaking into the baby room to decompress and just soak up their coos and giggles.
We will miss the pure choas and magic of the toddler room. Their little minds learning things and the excitement they have when they master a new skill. Them running to us in the morning yelling our names and giving us the biggest hugs.
We will miss our morning meeting with preschool planning out what they want to learn, hearing their stories about home. Seeing them learn something and the way they are determined to learn. Watching them be true friends and share a bond that is unbreakable. We will miss circle time and music. Dance parties and pajama days.
We pray that the children and families find comfort and security in their new care. We pray that we all can keep in touch. We pray that the Lord watches over each and every one of you.

After a long three-day weekend, our kiddos were SO happy to be back at The Orchard! We had lots of smiles, laughter, and happy reunions with friends and teachers. There’s nothing like getting back into our routine and seeing all those little faces again! ❤️

Happy Sunday from The Orchard! ❤️

Our kiddos absolutely LOVE to sing, and I just had to capture this sweet moment of them singing “Jesus Loves Me.” There is something so special about hearing their little voices sing praises and seeing their love for God shine through.

Teaching little hearts to love, worship, and know that Jesus loves them is such a beautiful blessing. 🥹
