VOCAL TIP #5: RELEASE YOUR JAW
Place one finger gently on your chin while singing “TAH–TEH–TIH–TAA.”
Your jaw should stay released instead of bouncing or clenching on every syllable. Let your tongue form the words while your jaw remains comfortably open.
Less jaw tension can give you a freer, clearer, and more consistent sound.

VOCAL TIP #4: PRACTICE A VOLUME LADDER
Sing one comfortable note softly, then medium, then slightly stronger—and return to soft again.
Keep the pitch steady and your throat relaxed at every volume. The goal is controlled intensity, not shouting.
This exercise helps you develop vocal strength, balance, and dynamic control.

VOCAL TIP #3: DESCEND INTO BETTER HIGH NOTES
If singing upward makes your voice tighten, try approaching the same notes from above.
Begin with a light “WOO” on a comfortable higher note and gently slide downward. Keep the sound easy, small, and connected.
Descending exercises can help your voice discover high notes without pushing excessive weight upward.

VOCAL TIP #2: KEEP THE VOWEL MOVING
Consonants shape the words—but vowels carry the singing voice.
Try singing the word “LOVE.” Touch the “L” quickly, sustain the “UH” vowel, and finish gently with the “V.”
Spend less time on the consonant and more time singing through the vowel. Your phrases will sound smoother and more connected.

VOCAL TIP #1: THE SILENT BREATH
Before you sing, inhale quietly—as if you’re smelling a flower. If your breath makes a loud gasping sound, your throat may already be tightening.
Try one silent breath, keep your shoulders relaxed, and sing an easy “AH.” A calm breath creates a calmer, clearer tone.
