Today we celebrated Third Graders Day in our classroom! 🎉

While many celebrate on March 3rd, we had our celebration a little later this year since I was out last week. It ended up being extra special because we had a surprise guest stop by!

Karen, one of my students from last year, was recently featured in a Scholastic News episode. The article highlights her excitement and advocacy for Third Graders Day. What a fun moment to see one of our own students recognized in a national classroom publication!

Karen stopped by our classroom today so we could celebrate her and this exciting recognition together. The students loved seeing someone they know
featured in Scholastic News.

So proud of Karen and all of our amazing students. Moments like this remind me how special third grade truly is! 🍎

Today we celebrated our 100th Day of School and it was such a fun one! 💯🎉

To mark the big day, we put on our engineering hats and took on a STEM challenge — building bridges out of toothpicks, raisins, and gummy candy! The room was buzzing with creativity, teamwork, and lots of thoughtful problem-solving.

Students had to think like real engineers — planning, testing, adjusting, and strengthening their designs to make sure their bridges were sturdy. There were a few wobbly moments (and a few sneaky gummy taste tests 😉), but they showed perseverance and did an amazing job!

I am so proud of their hard work, creativity, and how much they’ve grown in these first 100 days. What a sweet way to celebrate how far we’ve come

Today my heart is just so full. 💕

We celebrated Valentine’s Day in our classroom, and I just have to brag on these sweet kids for a minute. The creativity they poured into their Valentine’s boxes absolutely blew me away! From glitter and glue to tape and imagination, they turned simple boxes into masterpieces. Every single one was unique — just like the beautiful hearts that made them.

What I love most isn’t just how cute they looked… it’s the effort. The excitement. The pride on their faces as they carried them in this morning. You could feel the love in the room — in the careful passing out of valentines, the big smiles, the giggles, and the little “thank yous.” 💌✨

Valentine’s Day magic through the eyes of 3rd graders is something special. 💗

What a treat to have so many officers visit our school today. Miigwech to the White Earth Police Department for the donuts and also for keeping our school and community safe! 🩵💙

🎃👻 What a spooktacular day in 3rd grade! Yesterday my students hosted their very own Halloween Carnival, and it was absolutely amazing! Each pair of kiddos created a carnival game for the kindergarten, 1st grade, and 2nd grade students to come play and enjoy — and wow, did they deliver!

From creative game ideas to colorful setups, they truly brought their imaginations to life. It was so fun watching them take pride in their work and seeing the younger students have such a great time. We even had parents come in to check out all the fun — around 75 visitors in all! 🎟️🎉

I couldn’t be prouder of my 3rd graders and all the effort they put into making this such a special day. My teacher heart is full! 🧡🎃
