Today wasn’t just about popsicles. It was about hearing laughter echo across the playground, seeing friendships grow, and watching children experience the simple joy of being a child.

In a world that moves so fast, these moments remind us to slow down and celebrate the little things. The smiles, the giggles, the sticky fingers, and the excitement over a frozen treat may seem small today, but these are the memories that shape childhood forever.

As we watched each child laugh and enjoy their popsicle, we were reminded that our greatest responsibility is not just teaching letters and numbers, it’s creating a place where children feel safe, loved, valued, and free to be themselves.

Our babies had the BEST time playing:

Some had me feeling real good… and some of y’all babies tried me today! 😅

But in the middle of all the laughter, something powerful was happening…

After 21 days of waiting, watching, and learning… our chicks have officially all hatched at Creative Minds Childcare and the excitement has been unmatched!!! 🤍

From day one, our kiddos were fully involved in this hands-on S.T.E.M. & science experience, and let me tell you… the learning that took place was AMAZING!

Over the past 21 days, the kids learned:
🥚 The life cycle of a chicken from egg to chick
🌡️ The importance of temperature & humidity for incubation
🔦 How to candle eggs and observe veins & movement inside
⏳ Patience (because waiting 21 days felt like forever!)
🐣 What hatching looks like and how chicks break out of their shells
💛 How to care for and handle baby chicks gently

Watching their faces light up as they saw the chicks hatch in real time is something we will never forget 🥹

🐣✨ Day 8 in the Incubator! ✨🐣

Today was SUCH a cool day in our classroom!

Our little scientists were able to candle each egg and see the veins forming and even tiny babies moving around inside! 😍

The kids were amazed watching the life growing right before their eyes. This is hands-on S.T.E.M. learning at its best — patience, observation, and understanding how life develops.

We talked about:
🔎 Blood vessels (those tiny veins!)
💓 How chicks grow inside the egg
⏳ Why we have to be patient and gentle

The excitement in their faces was EVERYTHING. We cannot wait to see what the next few days bring!

Dr. Seuss Dress-Up Week Celebration!

Oh, The Fun We Will Have!

Dear Families,
Get ready for a week full of reading, imagination, laughter, and creativity as we celebrate Dr. Seuss Week!

This special week encourages children to develop a love for books, language, and learning while participating in fun themed activities inspired by the wonderful stories of Dr. Seuss.

Throughout the week, children will enjoy:

✨ Literacy & STEM activities
✨ Rhyming games
✨ Creative art projects
✨ Silly dress-up days
✨ Character celebrations

We invite all students and staff to join the fun by participating in our Daily Dress-Up Themes!

BIG NEWS in our center… we started a S.T.E.M. science experiment! 🔬🐥

Today we carefully placed 56 chicken eggs into our incubator and the countdown has officially begun! ⏳

Over the next 21 days, the children will get to:
✨ Learn about the life cycle of chickens
✨ Observe and track daily changes
✨ Make predictions and ask questions
✨ Practice patience and responsibility
✨ Experience hands-on S.T.E.M. learning in real life

We will be checking temperature and humidity, talking about how chicks grow inside the egg, and documenting our journey together. The excitement in the classroom today was unmatched! 🤍

If all goes as planned, we’ll be welcoming tiny fluffy chicks very soon! 🐣 Stay tuned for updates as our hatch day gets closer.
