Today’s Senior Spotlight is Gabriella Almanza!! Gaby is a 4-year member of our Colorguard and currently serves as the Operations and Social Officer!! She is the 3-time recipient of the Most Outstanding Guard Member Award and also performs as a member of the RattlerSingers. Gaby is also a very talented artist, receiving numerous awards including the HLSR Best of Show Award. Gaby plans to double major in Education and Art.

TODAY’S SENIOR SPOTLIGHT is Mylasia Jackson!!! Mylasia is a 4-year member of our Colorguard and currently serves as Guard Captain!! She is multi-talented and is a member of the RattlerSingers too. Mylasia is the recipient of this year’s National Colorguard Award and is a Top 10 graduate for the Class of 2026!!! After High School, she plans to earn her cosmetology license.

Today’s SENIOR SPOTLIGHT is Celeste Coronilla!! Celeste is a percussionist and currently serves as Percussion Captain! Celeste is the first student to participate in 5 Marching Seasons, marching with the Rattler Band her 8th Grade year. She is the recipient of this year’s Director’s Award and plans to go to Sam Houston State to pursue a degree in Education!

Today’s Senior Spotlight is Carmen Herrera!! Carmen is a percussionist and currently serves as one of our Drum Majors. She is this year’s recipient of the John Philip Sousa Award. Carmen is a multi-talented musician also performing in our Jazz Band and the RattlerSingers!! She plans to attend Blinn College and wants to become an Elementary Music Teacher!!

Today’s Senior Spotlight is Ava Stankiewicz!! Ava plays the flute and oboe and currently serves as a Drum Major for the Rattler Band! Ava is the recipient of this year’s National School Band Leadership Award!! Ava will be a member of the Ouachita Baptist Music Program in the Fall!

The competitive portion of our Concert Season ended today with some outstanding performances at the Blinn College May Music Meet. Both the Symphonic Band and Wind Ensemble earned 1st Division Ratings for their performances!! Afterwards, a trip to Blue Bell was in order to celebrate a great school year!!

You can catch both of these fantastic ensembles in action one more time this year at our Spring Concert on Tuesday, May 12 at 6:30 PM at the Brosig Performing Arts Center.

🎉IT IS TIME to recognize the members of our outstanding SENIOR CLASS!!!! First up, Ariel Arevalo. Ariel is a member of the Flute Section and currently serves as the Horn Sergeant and Flute Section Leader. He is the recipient of this year’s Tommy Hood Memorial Award. Ariel has earned a spot in the Fightin’ Texas Aggie Band as a member of the Piccolo Section!!

These students have worked hard, stayed focused, and achieved academic excellence through persistence and dedication. Their accomplishments reflect the time, effort, and commitment they have put into reaching this milestone.

Great Concert tonight by our Percussion students!! So proud of our students and their director, Mr. Long, for all of their hard work to put this concert together!! The final piece on the program was performed by every percussion student in our program in grades 6-12; over 40 students playing together!!
