Good morning, HNP families! 💚💙

Today, our school completed a required lockdown drill as part of our ongoing commitment to school safety and emergency preparedness.

We understand that safety drills can sometimes bring questions or concerns for students and families. Practicing these procedures helps ensure that our students and staff are prepared and know what to do should an emergency ever occur.

Please know that all students are safe, and today’s activity was only a scheduled drill.

For your convenience, our Department of Health nurses will be offering the Flu Mist vaccine here at HNP 10/27/26 Your student should have brought them home with them today, 8/14/26. The consent form, which includes a front and back page, must be completed and returned to the school by Tuesday, September 8, 2026, for your student to receive the Flu Mist vaccine on campus during our vaccine clinic. Please review this packet, complete both the front and the back of the consent form and return it to the school by 9/8/25 if you wish to take advantage of this convenient opportunity. This year, our health department will be administering the nasal Flu Mist vaccine to every age group of students. No student will receive a vaccine without a properly completed consent form.

Hello families! Don't forget to return your SAC nominations tomorrow. Also, we still need parents for the district advisory councils. Please contact Mrs. Goodwin if you are interested.
Our first SAC meeting is August 26 at 1:45 in the media center. All are welcome. We will be discussing Title I, back to school, and other important topics. We hope to see you there!
