Week 1 in the books!

We jumped right into the school year with kayaking, getting out in the field to learn about oysters and seagrasses, team building, and plenty of laughs!

This is what learning looks like at the Navarre Beach Marine Science Station—experience it, explore it, and learn by doing.

It’s amazing to watch students grow through real-world experiences, authentic research, and coastal conservation.

They enter the program as learners and become confident leaders, educators, and advocates for our coast.

From monitoring our coastal ecosystems and collecting hundreds of pounds of marine debris to sharing the importance of protecting our oceans and waterways — they are making a difference.

Our Kraken Up the Competition ROV team is competing against nearly 300 teams from around the world at the International SeaPerch ROV Competition at the University of Maryland.

Between events, the team explored the National Mall at night and visited Smithsonian museums during the day, making the most of their time in the Washington, D.C. area. Always proud to represent Santa Rosa County District Schools, Florida.

A huge THANK YOU to all of our incredible sponsors and donors for helping make this year’s Autism OdysSea such an amazing event! We loved seeing so many familiar faces along with lots of new friends, and we are already looking forward to doing it all again next year. Thank you for being part of our Autism OdysSea day!

We are currently monitoring the weather and coordinating with the school district and the county. Our plan is to move forward with the event this Saturday, May 2 - but we will be shifting the hours from 1 PM to 4 PM. We hope to still see you there. 😄
