🎉🧭 THE COMMUNITIES HAVE SPOKEN! 🧭🎉

Today was one of our FAVORITE West Navarre Intermediate traditions—our Annual Community Reveal Parade! 💙💚

Our newest Navigators—our 3rd graders and students new to WNIS—were officially inducted into one of our FIVE communities:

🖤 🩵 ANIMUS — Courage
♥️ 🩶 FIDELIS — Loyalty
💚 💛 ERUBESCO — Respect
💜 🧡 OFFICIUM — Responsibility
🤍 💙 VERITAS — Truth

And our returning Navigators? They got in on the action too, scratching off surprise points to add to their community totals! 👀🏆 Because around here, community pride is SERIOUS business. 😂

🥁 And can we talk about that PARADE?! A HUGE thank-you to the Navarre High School Drum Line for bringing the energy, the sound, and ALL the hype! You helped make our Community Reveal an unforgettable celebration for our students! 💥🥁

We can’t forget our amazing Community Leaders for making this event extra fun and special…and teaching our Navigators how to lead with character. 👩‍🏫

At West Navarre Intermediate, our communities are about so much more than a name or a color. We believe that education is not only about what our Navigators know—it’s also about who they are becoming.

We are building a school full of students who choose courage, loyalty, respect, responsibility, and truth—because strong character matters. 💙💚

📚 We teach minds.
💚 We build character.
🧭 We grow Navigators.
🌎 And together, we’re helping shape the next generation.

WELCOME TO YOUR COMMUNITY, NAVIGATORS! 🎉

Now the real questions…👀
WHAT COMMUNITY DID YOU GET & WHICH COMMUNITY WILL TAKE THE LEAD THIS YEAR?! 🏆💙💚

2026-2027 West Navarre Intermediate School Advisory Council Parent Nominees:

Elizabeth Boynton
As a USAF veteran and longtime WNIS parent, I’ve had the privilege of watching five kids walk these halls. Throughout those years, I have been supporting countless school functions. As a nurse practitioner, advocacy is something I do every day—listening, speaking up, and making sure people’s needs are heard. I want to bring that same passion to SAC by representing our families and community, supporting our teachers, and advocating for our students.

Kristen Coffey
Kristen Coffey enjoys being involved with the schools her children attend. She has previously served on the S.S Dixon Elementary School advisory council and is currently serving on the Woodlawn Beach Middle School Advisory Council. As a faculty member at the University of West Florida, Kristen believes in the importance of quality education and is excited to contribute to the continued success of West Navarre Intermediate School.

Haley Dunwoodie
I'm Haley Dunwoodie, a mom of three boys, two of which attend West Navarre Intermediate! Raising children with different personalities, learning styles, and unique needs has taught me the importance of communication, compassion, and advocacy. I'm passionate about supporting our school community and would be honored to serve on the School Advisory Council to help ensure every student has the opportunity to succeed.

Myriah Elliott
As the proud mother of an ESE student at West Navarre Intermediate, I understand firsthand theimportance of a supportive, inclusive school community where every child has the opportunity to succeed. I believe strong partnerships between families, teachers, and school leaders create the best outcomes for students. I’m passionate about advocating for all children, bringing a positive,
collaborative perspective, and helping ensure every student and family feels seen, supported, and valued.

Courtney Keith
For the last 2 years I have served as president of WNP PTO and on the SAC Committee there. Now that my daughter is in 3rd grade at WNI, I would love to serve on the SAC Committee to learn more
about the school and help where I can. I love to history and reading and I am also a substitute teacher within Santa Rosa County.

Lauren McGill
My name is Lauren McGill, and I’m a mom of two—an eighth grader and a third grader, and former teacher. I served on the PTO board at WNP and volunteered with PTO while my son attended WNI. I am currently volunteering with the hospitality committee at Woodlawn, work in childcare at my church, help coach my daughter’s cheer team, and love volunteering in our schools.

Sally-Anne Tiernan
I am a proud West Navarre parent and healthcare professional who is passionate about supporting our students, teachers, and school community. As a parent, I value strong communication, collaboration, and creating opportunities for every child to thrive. I’m excited to serve on the School Advisory Council, listen to our families and educators, and help make West Navarre an even stronger place for our children.

Morgan Wells
I am a longtime Navarre resident, wife, mom of two, veteran, and proud supporter of public education. My son is a third grader at WNI, and I previously served on the SAC at HNP. I value
service, community, and being involved in our local schools, and I look forward to supporting WNI students and families.
