INSPIRE is a unique event designed specifically for families with children or adults who are deaf or hard of hearing. You will have the opportunity to interact with other families like yours and share your experiences. Parents will be able to attend workshops to learn about rights and resources for their families. Time will be provided for kids and families to enjoy outdoor events like hiking, can

oeing, and exploring the farm at Camp McDowell. All communication modes are welcome and interpreters will be present. With this weekend of interaction, education, rest, growth, and signing, each family will leave INSPIRED and ready to return to daily life.

Deaf Family Friendly Event! November 16th - between 1 and 3, bring the family to Birmingham's Museum of Art - From their website "Local silhouette artist Brandi Still will create custom silhouettes of our visitors to take home. Be sure to check out the exhibition where you can make your own silhouette in our interactive gallery! Stick around for a special storytelling session with our friends from the Birmingham Public Library that incorporates silhouette illustrations."
ASL Interpretation will be provided!

Hello! Thank you all for your patience with us as we go in this process. We have postponed March event to a later date, for a few reasons. It is the same weekend as ABCD Conference, that we feel most families are attending, also we needed more time to prepare to make this the best weekend for the families! We will be posting more information soon. Stay tuned. The registration is STILL open, and if you have any concerns or questions please email us at [email protected]

Recently, we had a meeting to discuss the progress of Inspire, Deaf Family Retreat. We have decided to push the date to sometime in the FALL of 2019.
