The Naugatuck School District enjoys a rich history, many successes, and broad alumni, parent, and community support. It is composed of eleven public schools that provide a solid, contemporary education to some 4,300 students. Preschool and Headstart services are located together at the Early Childhood Center. Additionally, a range of adult programs for enrichment, English language acquisition, an
d high school completion are offered after hours at the high school. A nine-member Board of Education establishes policies and governs the affairs of the school district. Members of the Board are elected to two-year terms at a biennial election held in May. Board of Education goals, policies, meeting agendas, meeting minutes, documents, contact information, and news items are posted on our website. Naugatuck Public Schools provides a comprehensive education and a full program of activities and athletics for all students. High school offerings include advanced science, math, and foreign languages, AP classes, Air Force ROTC, marching band, chorus, and opportunities to travel abroad.
