When logistics don’t allow for the class to go on a field trip, we bring the field trip to them. The visited kindergarten today, teaching them all about various birds and bringing to cutest little screech owl ever!

Our 4th grade class had a very special parent visitor join us for art class today, Mrs. Maggie Likins! She shared a creative project she remembered doing as an elementary student herself: building a city/town out of milk cartons and cardboard houses.
Mrs. Likins brought in a variety of fold-up cardboard buildings in all different shapes and sizes, and the students had an amazing time designing their own unique places for our 4th grade town. We ended up with everything from Target and Sephora to farms, a college, a church, and even a mansion!
The students loved using their creativity and imagination to bring our town to life. A huge shout out and thank you to Mrs. Likins for sharing her time, creativity, and this wonderful hands-on experience with our class!
