SUHI Class of 2026 | Bonfire 06/01/2026

SUHI's graduation will be this Friday June 5 2026. There will be 2 ceremonies, one at 3 PM and one at 6 PM, to accommodate the large class size and the number of spectators expected at each event.

Need a gift for a graduate? The class of 2006 has made a special edition of the alumni shirt for class of 2026 to celebrate their graduation and becoming SUHI Alumni. Proceeds go toward paying for the class of 2006 twenty year reunion. Any extra proceeds will be donated to SUHI clubs. The last time they did this, in 2016, Science Club and Academic Decathlon benefitted. Such a deal!

For all the people at Sweetwater High that were touched by Ms. Gail Mitchell, her Celebration of Life will be held at Tom Ham's Lighthouse on Tuesday, July 14th from 1-5pm. Please come and celebrate with her husband John and her many lifelong friends.

Dance Concerts to honor Gail Mitchell April 23 and 24, 2026. Please spread the news. The box office on the east side of the new gym (facing the 600 building) will be open at 5:30 PM each day. Tickets are $12. Contact [email protected] for more information.

New Village Arts plans gender-switched stage comedy ‘Matt & Ben’ 03/28/2026

Dr. M. Patrice Amon, Ph.D. (SUHi class of 2001) is directing a play at the New Village Arts Theater in Carlsbad. She and the play were featured in an article in the San Diego Union Tribune. Go Patrice!

Mr. Ralph Mora passed away last week. His family requested that the information about his services be posted here. When I said they might get inundated with people remembering him, the reply was, that's ok. It just shows he was loved.
