Paradise Creek needs interested and involved supporters. We can't afford to lose any more open space in our crowded cities.

Good morning. Paradise Creek is turning green as Spring “grows on us.”
Our next Creek Day will be on April 26 at 8:30 to 12 noon. Please meet at the 19th Street entrance to the park. There is a parking lot near the Family Garden.
Thank you for your support. We love our volunteers!

Tomorrow morning, between 8:300 and 12 Noon, we celebrate another of our monthly Creek Days at PCEP. If you have never visited the park before, you can come out to walk the trails, learn about the wetlands of National City, and VOLUNTEER, too. With the salt marsh habitat, we are currently restoring native plant areas around the amphitheater. It is a fun way to get some exercise, chat with supporters of Paradise Creek, and you may want to take part in the art activity planned. See you soon!

Cyanotype Pop-up at Paradise Creek Educational Park in National City this Saturday, August 31st, 9:30am-12pm.

The basics of cyanotypes will be covered. Participants can create their own nature prints, while reflecting on what we can do as individuals and collectively to promote planetary health. Select input will be incorporated into a larger October 11th-13th, 2024 installation at the center.

This is a Free event with no RSVP and will be happening in conjunction with the creek clean-up. We will print while supplies last!

*This program is made possible through the Art for Planetary Health initiative, an initiative led by the Fleet Science Center, and generously supported by the Prebys Foundation.

Hi People,
We hope you are all doing well. While it has warmed up this summer, Paradise Creek Educational Park has continued to have amazing volunteers come out to our Creek Days each month.

In June, we were honored to have the family members in support of the Marilyn S. Broad Foundation (https://marilynsbroad.org/); give their generous time of public service. Find them on Facebook, too. Thank you to Jonathan and the whole crew. It was very nice getting to know you and your charitable mission. Good luck in all you aspire to do!

On Saturday, July 27 from 8:30 to 12 noon, we will be at the creek for this month's Creek Day. With the help of many volunteers, community members and HandsOn folks, we will continue preparing an area for native plants to go in next winter and spring. If pulling some weeds sounds good to you, we have just the place. It is often meditative.

Things are great at Paradise Creek and we hope you can come out to see the place, meet some new friends, AND...

..this month we have an artist who will present a fun cyanotype activity for all.

See you soon,
PCEPI

It is a beautiful Spring here in California, and we will get together at Paradise Creek Educational Park this Saturday for our monthly Creek Day. Come join us as we plant the last native plants of the season and pick out any trash that is left in the wetland from the recent rains.
Our time is 8:30 to 12 noon and we always meet at 1815 Hoover Avenue.
Take care of yourself!

Hi there,
If you are in the area and have some time, join us this Saturday morning from 8:30 to 12 noon for the first Creek Day of 2024.
We’ve been doing this for over twenty years and it never gets old. The work is never “done.”
Join us to help pick out the debris from this week’s extreme rain and flooding. We are also preparing an area near the amphitheater for new native plants.
Hope you’re all well!

This Saturday morning, we will hold our monthly Creek Day. The recent tropical storm brought in some trash to the wetland habitat and we will snag out everything we can. With your help, we will also continue our restoration of the native plants at the amphitheater. Join us at 8:30 to 12 noon. We meet at 1815 Hoover Avenue in National City. Hope to see you!

It has been hot! The native plants at Paradise Creek are drying out, along with the invasive weeds. For the next couple of months we are concentrating our work around the amphitheater. It provides some shade when we need it, but we also do something a little different during the summer months at Paradise Creek. We call it "Beat the Heat," and that means that we rise early and join together at 7:00 am for Creek Day. Creek Day is always on the LAST SATURDAY OF EVERY MONTH. Meet us at 1815 Hoover Avenue for a couple of hours of habitat care and personal renewal. I think you will enjoy it and... We Thank You!

Hey, we’re back to end of one of our wonderful months here at Paradise Creek. Creek Day is this Saturday. It’s fun and soothing to be out in the habitat in the early morning, knowing that you are involved with good work with your neighbors and young students and parents all caring about the place. 8:30 to 12 noon. 1815 Hoover Avenue in NC.

Hello people,
There will be no Creek Walk this Saturday. Our Creek Walks will resume in the summer. Please keep active and enjoy all of the healthy foods grown at the Family Garden. If you haven't checked out the Garden yet, please do so. I'm sure you will be impressed over the abundance of green vegetables and happy gardeners.

Creek Days have been on the last Saturday of the month for over twenty years. A good friend of California, Mr. Huell Howser visited with us in 2003 and this show aired on PBS stations around the state. We miss Huell very much. He was a real gentleman. Funny, Genuine, Kind, and Curious all describe the man. Enjoy this video and we will see you at Paradise Creek "real soon."

Oh oh, whoops. My mistake. We're eager to get back to Paradise Creek, but our Creek Day is always on the LAST SATURDAY of the month. See you all on May 27th!
