This past Wednesday our GEO Jewish Afterschool kids brought so much Chanukah joy to the residents of Whitney Place! ✨
As part of our early-release Wednesday field trip, the kids sang, danced (wait till you see their moves! 💃🕺), and filled the room with light.

It was truly a win-win: the children loved performing, and the residents enjoyed every moment of the entertainment. They even teamed up for a lively game of Bingo, led by our GEO Site Director, Batya Naki. 🎉

Look at the photos and you’ll notice the sweetest interactions as the kids helped seniors and connected with them. What a beautiful mitzvah! 💛

Morah (teacher) Hadassah Milman, one of our wonderful staff members, together with Chanie Fogelman, Chabad’s Education Director, were also present helping facilitate this meaningful visit and create such a warm, uplifting experience.

GEO has had an awesome week! We kicked it off with some traveling, journeying through time to the ancient land of Israel alongside Abraham. We prayed at the Kotel and explored the famous Shuk, using our Shekels to buy delicious cultural food - the felafel was a huge hit!

We've also been enjoying outdoor activities, getting creative with bubble making, challah baking, and more. It's been fantastic to see our students' progress with Hebrew reading and writing!

A special birthday this week... so fun to celebrate with friends at GEO!

Another fantastic week at GEO! We bounced back from spring break with renewed energy. We started the week off with a refreshing treat - watermelon lemonade - to thank our students for their hard work at the Open House.

The rest of the week was just as exciting! Robotics, ball games, hoola hoops, creating edible projects, a thrilling Scholars Game Show, testing our knowledge along with fun activities!

Our GEO scientists worked on problem-solving, navigating lily pads and lava ponds - enjoying lots of play and problem solving. Meanwhile, other students designed inspiring "Pump It Up" posters to uplift their friends.

We celebrated another Alef Champ! and did some great Hebrew reading and writing! Great job, everyone! We also celebrated a birthday! We're looking forward to another amazing week at GEO!

This week was an unforgettable Spring Camp at GEO! We kicked off the week with customizing our own caps, followed by an exciting trip to the New England Aquarium.🐋 From the penguins, to the turtles and fish, there was so much to see.
Day two took us to the Franklin Park Zoo,🐼 which was a huge hit! From the lions to playful gorillas, 🙉we had an amazing time exploring the zoo.
Our last day was just as exciting - we decorated water bottles, made our way to Apex Jumping, was definitely a highlight! We wrapped up the day with fun at the park. Everyone had a great time!😀

This week was packed with discovery, and meaningful lessons. In addition to learning magic tricks, making Challah, and good old playing... here’s some of what we’ve been up to:

Earlier in the week, the kids unleashed their creativity by designing their own plush people and animals using needle and thread.

On another day, the GEO Scientist received an intriguing message from Supraland! Their robot friend had been stuck in a dark cave but, by trusting Hashem, he discovered a sparkling, glittering cave where something slimy was dripping from the ceiling. This sparked a great discussion: why do things like slime exist, and what can we learn from them? The kids then got hands-on with their very own science project, making soft, gooey, cloud slime—it was as much fun to create as it was to explore!
